As LLM based AI becomes ubiquitous. Our language will need to adapt and accommodate this by creating new pronouns for AI. I see people referring to their AI as ‘him’ or ‘her’. But this is wrong. It’s not a human, and we shouldn’t use human pronouns for AI. At the same time, it interacts with us in a way that ‘things’ don’t. Previously only other humans interacted through nuanced language. So calling it an ‘it’, doesn’t fully capture how we relate to something that uses language and is not a human. A new pronoun would be a first step. submitted by /u/Auxiliatorcelsus
