Recently, I started going to the gym, and I’ve been going pretty consistently for almost three months now. The good news is that I’m seeing some results; I’m stronger than I was and I’m lifting more than when I started. My body itself hasn’t changed a bunch, and there’s still a lot of work to be done, and I’m not anywhere close to my ideal weight or body. But one of the ways I keep myself motivated is by telling myself that dating will be easier once I lose the weight and put on some actual muscle. I just want to know if that’s unrealistic and I’m setting myself up for disappointment, or if most people experience a dramatic change in their dating life after getting to their ideal level of fitness. submitted by /u/vulgar-lightning
