TL:DR Pls Jagex make Soulreaper Axe more reasonable to bring to more endgame content without it feeling awful As I wrapped up my leagues journey, excited for the rewards to come out, I looked at the SRA kit being super hyped. Having Yama’s axe would be sick when using the weapon. But then I reminded myself how un unused the axe has been for me since I farmed it out. I used it at Vardorvis and Duke for their rings. After that it has sat in my bank. Untouched. Not to mention 2 of the axe pieces come from these bosses. There are many pieces of content/bosses you could list off where its good on paper. Arraxor, Calv, Spindel, Sarachnis, Blood Moon etc. But a lot of the bosses you’d list off are not ones you’d be farming after getting SRA. That leaves Nightmare and ToB. These are two endgame pieces of content that you’d farm after getting the axe. But the axes stack/health drain mechanics make it impractical to use at these bosses. At Phosani’s you’ll get similar kill times with a bludgeon without worrying about health. With ToB, nearly all of its boss’s cause you to drop stacks. Two suggestions, one simple, the other way more of a reach Simple solution: Lower stack count to 3 while keeping the strength buff values the same. Get the power of the axe up faster at less cost to your health. Losing stacks feels less punishing. Armchair dev rework solution: Idea: I always imagine the SRA as an executioner’s axe. And the special attack gives it that feeling as well (Its literally called Behead! ). I’d love to play into this idea. Stats: Normalize axes strength value to match the power it currently has at 4 stacks (give or take.) Passive: Each attack grants a soul stack up to 20. Special attack - Behead: Consume a minimum to 10 Soul stacks to attack your enemy with increased accuracy. Each soul stack consumed increases minimum hit by 1. Increase attack delay by 2 ticks.
