A asshole Lt I used to work with at the FD who constantly tried to get people fired by making up lies and turning others against them. The irony was that he had been fired himself before, but his uncle, a city commissioner, always got him his job back, which only inflated his ego. He would brag that he could do whatever he wanted and nobody would stop him. That finally changed when he was caught stealing hours from the city by changing his times on the time clock, and they even had him on camera. He got fired, and this time his uncle couldn’t save him. He was so delusional he actually sued for wrongful termination despite the evidence and thought he’d get his job back, and make him the Fire Chief. I was driving on a very congested motorway. I was just overtaking someone, when an asshole nearly rear-ended me. He flashed his lights at me, honked his horn, etc, as if I could just somehow vanish. I could not even go to the right, as there was the truck I was overtaking, and i could not go faster, as there was another car in front of mine.
Finally, I was able to pass the truck and go the right lane. He honked a last time and rushed on, repeating his spiel on the car that had been in front of me. As the whole traffic was not much faster on the left lane, I could see what unfolded: this guy got really close to the car in front of him, flashed and honked again - and in that car, signage appeared in the window : “Police - Follow” …
