I’m genuinely confused about two things: Which AI-powered IDE/tool to choose — Cursor, Windsurf, Void, Cline, Zed, or Trae all seem solid, but they each have different strengths. Which AI model to pair it with — Should I use Claude (Sonnet/Opus), GPT-4o, Gemini, or just stick with whatever the tool’s default model is? Does the combo matter more than the tool itself? For context, I’m looking for the best balance of code quality, context handling, and value for money in the long run.
