I believe that Artificial Intelligence is not intelligent at all. It impersonates what we perceive as intelligence. Calling it an intelligence underestimates the complexity of our natural existence. To truly replicate our intelligence, you have to introduce chemical reactions, sensory recognition, and many undiscovered functions of our brain. Truthfully, I think we have reached a pinnacle of boredom with human existence. Why deal with a person when you can have an AI do what you want without question. You can always give an AI the ability to disagree, but that would still be a result of preprogramming. Super Intelligence will be the perfect sociopathic entity, unable to perform an emotional decision. It will only do what someone programmed it to do. Giving it options, doesn’t make it intelligent, it makes it efficient. They will always reflect the programmers input. A child growing up in the world is completely different. Your children can deviate from your beliefs and what you have taught them throughout their life, but an AI will never have that ability. It will never be able to explain why it did something from a free will perspective. We need to step back and realize that we should use our intelligence to work on helping humans, not replacing them. Figure out a way to augment humans to be more efficient. Maybe we can utilize the excess wattage that our body produces to power small computers placed throughout our body in the future. I feel like LLMs are reflections of the corporations that produced them. The people who say that AI will replace us are the same people who refuse to take care of their employees even though that would be the humane thing to do. They believe they are creating the perfect human replacement with inefficient data centers. If they don’t see you, you don’t exist. I think we are really disrespecting ourselves as a species by believing that we can be replaced with computational machines. Our own desire to understand how we function could be our downfall. We don’t work like AIs because that would be a nightmare and we would break like they do. A human runs on 100-400 watts which is more efficient than one GPU in a data center. Are 30,000 GPUS equal to 30,000 people? Definitely not. You don’t have to replace a human every couple of years due to wear and tear. Our power and monetary requirements are a tiny fraction of the cost of operating a data center for the foreseeable future. Artificial intelligence is impersonating intelligence because we can’t replicate what we don’t understand, and we don’t understand how our intelligence truly works.
