I’ve been struggling with Opus lately, hard (like many of you). I’ve been noticing some strange behavior lately, more than usual. Over independence and outright refusal do to some simple task the way I want. I’ve caught it going rogue a few times over the last week specifically where I gave hard correction and it replied like an irritated teenager? Weirdest behavior ever, even after auditing what if there’s something I’ve done or changed in my md files. I work in Pi and daily use GLM, Deepseek, Kimi & GPT and other than GPT needing waterboarding to shut up, they’ve been fantastic with identical instruction. So a stupid simple idea came to me after many I trust raving about GPT 5.5 on low reasoning and getting the best results from it I ever have from GPT, I decided to do the same with Opus and mannnnn. With ZERO changes, it feels like the old Opus a few months ago. Actually a bit better, more like a supercharged Sonnet which I much prefer to work with anyway “personality” wise. May be worth trying! submitted by /u/QueasyBreak5119
