I feel so deeply unattractive right now because no matter how hard I try to engineer my appearance, I constantly feel like I’m fighting my own biology. I’m desperately trying to capture that natural, relaxed “young man” quality that other guys my age seem to just inherently possess, but instead, I end up looking like a stiff, rigid schoolboy. My heavy, straight hair either plasters to my forehead or puffs out into a round mushroom, and whenever I try to wear a mature outfit, the clothes end up wearing me like a strict uniform. I’m 17 turning 18 already, but my face is still holding onto this layer of “baby fat” around my cheeks and jawline that completely hides any mature bone structure. Because I have a slender, oblong face, that softness just makes my lower face look round and child-like. Add to that my physical frame, I’m slender with relatively narrow shoulders and a soft midsection. I see other guys walking around with this effortless, careless momentum, their clothes drape naturally, their shoulders are relaxed, while I look in the mirror and just see an awkward kid who hasn’t grown into his frame or his face yet. submitted by /u/C-roll_1302
