I’m Gen X It seems like people are less comfortable with locker room nudity than people were in previous decades. Are you comfortable using the old communal showers without any privacy stalls? Back when I was a teen, there were communal showers in middle and high school locker rooms (though no one used them in PE) and scout camp. I was terrified of being naked in front of other people, and I remember feeling like that was kind of a barrier to me feeling like a “real man” (I always felt smaller and weaker compared to my most of my friends who seemed much more comfortable in the locker room. It took me till I was 23 before I felt comfortable showering with other people. Were you always comfortable being nude around other people, or did it take you a while to get used to it? How do you feel about nudity in the locker room today? Was it just general shyness of being seen naked, or was there something specific that made you feel embarrassed or were you worried about something else? What are your thoughts? submitted by /u/LancetasticLife

I’m not. But I’m fine being naked around friends. It’s probably just because I know none of them are weird.
