I have two young boys who are two years apart, and our family is complete. My biggest goal as a parent is to raise them to be close friends not just now, but when they are grown adults with their own families. I’ve sometimes heard the stereotype that boys grow up, get married, and drift away from their parents, whereas daughters stay close. I really want to challenge that! For the men here who genuinely enjoy spending time with your parents and siblings as adults: What did your mom and dad do during your childhood to foster that bond? What boundaries or traditions made you want to stay close? I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can while they are still little. Thanks! submitted by /u/power_wife_mum
