I use Claude Code entirely on the windows desktop app. Working directory is local. I dont know why Claude hasn’t fixed its update issue yet, but ran into it again today, and couldn’t restart Claude after the update, and Claude Chatbot actually told me to reinstall Claude. So I did. After reinstallation, and logged into my Claude account, Claude Code had zero conversation history. Now the files are all there. I can still access all my conversation in Claude CLI in terminal. But the Desktop Claude App has zero conversation history. How do i get them back into Desktop Claude? THis is so frustrating, please help. submitted by /u/braveheart0707
