About 3 weeks ago my coworker texted me out of the blue. I’ve had his number for a while because I asked for it for work related stuff (I have almost everyone’s number). I work in event production and he works in a department I work very closely with so we have to communicate pretty often. The day he texted me, I was in office working an event. He texted me after the event ended asking how it went. We exchanged a few texts and then he suggested we grab drinks after work. I had already left and gone home so I told him I already left the office. He asked about Monday (the next day) but I told him I was off. I suggested Friday instead and he said he was open to it, but then never followed through. Not sure if he felt rejected or if I’m overthinking it. He acts kind of shy and awkward in general so it’s hard to tell with him. He also randomly called me “sweetie” once lol. We exchanged social media too. Anytime we bump into each other in the elevator he asks about my day. Last night he texted me asking for information on a vendor. Could’ve been an excuse to text me idk. I gave him the info and we exchanged a few more texts. Then he asked if he was going to see me tomorrow. I said yes and asked if he was scheduled too and he confirmed he was. I made a joke and said “hopefully you say hi to me” and he said he will and hopes to see a smile on my face because I always look sad lol. Not sure if this was a bad thing cause he also said I look conceited LOL I honestly can’t tell if he’s interested or just friendly. Thoughts? submitted by /u/Souline_xx
