Doing some research on agent reliability and cost. Trying to understand what actually breaks with Claude Code in real use. Three questions if you have run Claude Code for any meaningful amount of time: Have you ever had Claude Code get stuck in a loop, fire the same tool repeatedly on the same file, or keep spawning subagents that go nowhere? What did it look like and how did you notice? Has your Claude bill ever surprised you? A long session, a runaway edit pass, a subagent that ran for an hour? What was the number and what caused it? When Claude Code DOES go wrong, what is your actual workflow today? Kill the process and rerun? Cap context? Switch to a smaller model? Walk away and come back to find it stuck? Real stories help most. Even “I have never hit this” is useful data. submitted by /u/Minimum-Ad5185
