I’ve always been comfortable wearing Speedos, and I’m pretty sure it comes directly from seeing my dad wearing them. Growing up, he’d wear them to the pool and beach without a second thought, usually the only guy there doing it. No self-consciousness, just treated it as normal sportswear. What’s interesting is I’ve ended up liking the exact same styles as him too - sporty brands like Adidas, TYR, or Speedo. Nothing flashy, just classic cuts and simple colors like black, navy, or blue. I guess it’s less about the swimwear itself and more about what it represented growing up - confidence, discipline, and not caring what other people think. Curious if anyone else has this kind of influence and from who. submitted by /u/Running-Wild1989
