Startup CTO here. Explicit rule in the prompt: “Do not touch production DB or run migrations this sprint.” Agent did it anyway. Second time. Same pattern, same risk, same token burn. ThumbGate v1.21.0 (May 19 release) fixes exactly this: type one thumbs-down with the rule it violated. It becomes a local Pre-Action Gate that intercepts before execution — forever. No LLM in the loop, no cloud, works across Claude Code, Cursor, xAI Grok Build CLI (native, zero config), and more. v1.21.0 also cleaned up some overstated claims and added solid deployment hygiene improvements. Quick start (still the same): npx thumbgate init Free tier is actually useful now (unlimited captures + 5 gates). What’s your most painful repeat violation? DISCLOSURE: I’m the developer of ThumbGate submitted by /u/eazyigz123
