Work. Gym. Home. Repeat. Friend circle is getting smaller and smaller as time passes. I know ultimately comfort and routine can hold you back way more than failure. I know what I need to do. I need to seek discomfort. I know I need to continue to learn and grow. This is what life is. I’ve tried a few different things (e.g. martial arts, volunteering, etc.) But still find it difficult to continue sometimes. I know I can’t give up and I should still try different things or another variation of similar thing (e.g. different kind of martial art or volunteer at a different place etc.) However as mentioned somedays it seems so difficult to escape the crippling loneliness and emptiness felt as a result of familiarity. I know what I need to do, but what I’d like to know, is what worked for you, the reader, how did you overcome this? What did you try differently that made you feel like you belong somewhere and had a sense of community. submitted by /u/Any_Contract2240
