I’ve been using Claude Code for the last six months, mostly with Opus 4.7, 1M context, running on xhigh. Recently—roughly over the last six days or so —the quality has dropped noticeably for me. The main issues I’m seeing are: It takes actions I did not ask it to take. It explores unrelated parts of the repo instead of focusing on the task. When asked to analyze the repo first, it often seems to skim rather than build a useful understanding. It struggles to execute follow-up tasks based on that analysis. Documentation edits often turn into vague word confetti or pasted fragments from the conversation rather than useful docs. This has been severe enough that I have had to nuke projects almost daily, and I’ve gone back to prototyping, coding, and writing documentation myself. Is anyone else seeing a similar recent degradation in Claude Code performance, especially with Opus 4.7 on large-context / xhigh runs? I’m trying to understand whether this is a broader issue, a repo-specific failure mode, or something about my workflow. submitted by /u/Temporary_Most5517
