When Claude gets stuck in a loop trying to patch the exact same bug three times and keeps running terminal commands that over-consume tokens, don’t just keep prompt-arguing with it. Use the slash command to force it to step back. Hit it with a raw /clear or explicitly tell it to analyze the git diff of its own changes before it continues. Forcing it to read its own mistakes from a clean slate saves a massive amount of context window and stops it from confidently breaking a completely unrelated utility folder. submitted by /u/Historical-Belt9806
