What are the methods you use to protect yourself from falling head over heels in love with someone whom you’re just starting to know? Call it infatuation, obsession, limerence, or even love. It’s one thing to know that liking someone a lot when you barely know them exists a gap that should inform you that your feelings towards them are probably misguided, yet how you feel about them can be very different. How do you make sure that your feelings stay aligned with the reality of the situation? That said, how do you make sure that you don’t overprotect yourself such that you either develop feelings too slowly or not at all, potentially jeopardising what could have been a fruitful relationship? submitted by /u/Fun-Culture-1002
