I just want to preface that I do enjoy sailing as a concept and I’m welcome to the new changes that improve the player experience. It was rough on release. Today we got another post regarding a sailing update where the exp rates are much higher than the Devs expected the method to give. But why? Does nobody do the maths or in-house testing of these additions before they are ‘shipped’ to the live game? There was a similar case with the release of Yama: “Players are killing Yama much faster than we expected so we’re nerfing the drop rates” I understand that the Devs and QA can’t check everything that 200k people at once can but a lot of these jerk reactions are seemingly based on numbers which could have been calculated at least beforehand. submitted by /u/Proton76
