I’ve been using Claude Code for over a 18 months. There was a period between late November 2025 and March 2026 when I was supremely productive with it. I was using the GetShitDone + Claude Superpowers plugins and I was able to make fairly complex apps without having to dig through the code Ever since Opus 4.7 was released, however, my productive output has dropped drastically It works fine for basic tasks but as soon as something more complex and demanding comes up, Opus just goes through a loop where it floods me with options - and all of them are plain wrong Besides basic frontend changes, any tasks that involve dealing with updated documentation just becomes a grind - even when I explicitly ask it to use websearch to find latest documentation It’s also EXTREMELY verbose, to the point where I’ve started dreading opening the terminal because it floods me with 1,000 word comments on the smallest of issues - even when I’ve got explicit instructions in my Claude file to be less verbose Worst of all, it will ask me for confirmation for the most basic stuff, but then also go ahead and make big decisions on its own Should I just switch to a different model? Or is it my harness? submitted by /u/No-Way7911
