In the year 2026, after 13 years of old school runescape, we’re still scared of slightly improving on any meta’s that have been established since the game started. God forbid we make a new skilling method, something fresh and exciting with higher skilling requirements, a competitive xp/hr method with something like granite. It happens every time without fail. We find something that’s a decent new skilling method? nerfed into the ground. “Sorry mate i know it’s a level 85 method locked behind a grandmaster quest (just an example) but that would make fly fishing trout not as good so it has to stay 10k/hr! Integrity or something!” It’s just silly. I’m not saying RS3 levels of powercreep on XP, but i think a more chill 120k/hr method is fine when the meta is still 14k/hr better. It’s also okay to give us new methods that outdate 2013 methods. It doesn’t have to be crazy. But 5-10k xp/hr better will not turn us into rs3 overnight i promise. submitted by /u/khark98
