I’ve been trying to plow rubium since release since I believed it would be nerfed due to all the outcry… at 2k rubium splinters per hour it is only 50k smithing exp banked per hour, which equates to 40k smithing exp and 55k mining exp per hour combined (ie 5 hours mining, 1 hour smithing), NOT EVEN TAKING INTO ACCOUNT CANNONBALL CREATION AND THOSE RESOURCES. This is not broken. 3T mining should be just as good as granite when it has higher requirements and still requires tick perfect actions, all while actively needing to prep your next walk in the sequence of rocks. This being said its essentially the same exp per hour. If you really want 3T4G to stay “THE BEST!” then a small nerf of even 5% would achieve that. I love that I can mine 3 different ways all at once. Afk for a few mins? Click a geode. Semi afk watching a movie? Click ores. Wanna sweat cause there’s commercials? 3T away! I think this is fine. It is engaging. Smithing exp will be limited by the splinter volume itself. Smithing is already a fast skill IF YOU HAVE THE RESOURCES. Mains can already just bar their way to 99. If you want to change anything then reduce the smithing exp by a small amount to make bars still better… but its really not needed. Giants foundry is still faster, more rewarding and engaging. In the end, darts for fletching are insane exp per hour. This is the same thing with the same buffer: cost. Just some thoughts.
