Hey r/Switzerland , when I arrived here I honestly thought the salary would make life easy. But between high rent, health insurance (Krankenkasse), and daily groceries, I was surprised how little was left at the end of the month. It took me around 6 months of tracking expenses to finally get control. Now I’m saving about 18% without feeling like I’m living like a monk. Curious to hear from you locals and long-term residents: What’s the biggest expense hitting your budget right now? (Rent, insurance, food, transport…?) Any practical tip that actually helped you save money? Would love to read your experiences 👇 submitted by /u/Particular-Ear-5066
