I grew up taking “think before you act” to heart and then some. I do a whole lot of thinking—thought experiments, debates amongst myself, day dreaming, problem solving, etc. I find myself either always solving some problem, trying to find a problem, or feeling some sense of a void. I love strategy games, both video and board games. I’m interested to know how much of your time is spent amongst your thoughts. I’ve known plenty of both “think before you act” guys and of “act before you think”. I would say for me, it’s a 4:1 ratio, or 80% of my effort is put to thought (planning) and 20% of my time is execution. Thanks! submitted by /u/Gecko603
