flax and hemp on the general seed drop table, hemp and cotton on the uncommon seed drop table, and cotton on the rare drop tables would all be nice. it would give a general reason to use hops patches as theyre both decent farming xp and decent crafting xp. having ironwood and rosewood on the tree-herb drop table too add flax and hemp to low seed packs rolls, and hemp and cotton to the medium rolls. cottons farming level (at 71). with my suggested hops patch suggestion, flax and hemp would be an easy contract task, hemp and cotton a medium task, and only cotton for a hard task (37 is in my opinion too low of a level for a hard task). this would fill a similar feel to the potato cactus (the only option at hard contracts), giving players slightly more preplant rolls, as well as give the aforementioned passive crafting xp like the celastrus technically does. adding camphor and ironwoods as a ~1/50 drop from mediums would be sick (rarer than teaks and , and rosewoods as a ~1/44 (same as magics, spirits, etc) from high rolls but in a more reasonable quantity (3-5 for example) would fill out those seeds as well. the hardwoods in general should be less common than the traditional teak and mahogany seeds as sailing areas should be the more common way you get these seeds. i would love to see the quantities buffed from the harder end sailing mobs, albatross and orcas shouldnt be dropping 1 seed for cottons, for example. 2-3 would be way better, 1s should be reserved for random seed drop tables or the lower end mobs like terns and osprey. adding them additionally to the thieving chests as rare rewards (while frags are the primary target) would also help, as sailing areas should be the primary way you target farm the seeds, from general content around. opulent salvage and fremennik salvage should also both have a rare chance to drop the seeds, but more of a passive chunk on the way to 99 if salvaging is the way youre going with it. i think the proposed loot bags from port tasks should in general alleviate a decent chunk of this assuming the seeds are on their drop tables at all (they should be!) however, more options for a wide variety of areas would be better than not. of course id love to see slayer boss mobs have the chance to drop a huge chunk of seeds, and future bosses having those seeds as well as options, but thats a bit out of scope for my suggestion. tl;dr: add seeds added with sailing to random seed drop tables and to seed packs, add hops expansion to farming guild, buff seed quantities from higher combat level sailing, add rare chances from sailing chest thieving, and add rare chance seeds to high end salvage. intent is to make sailing specific tasks the way to target farm the seeds, but gives low amounts through outside of sailing areas to passively gain seeds. submitted by /u/ANGEL-PSYCHOSIS
