Alright, I’ll admit it. For years I’ve been laughing at the Olten jokes like everyone else. The fog, the industrial vibes, the feeling that it’s just a giant platform where dreams go to wait for a connecting train to Zurich or Bern. But something weird happened today. I had a 20-minute layover and actually stepped out of the station to grab a coffee. And… I didn’t hate it? It was weirdly peaceful. No tourists blocking the sidewalk with giant suitcases like in Lucerne, no 18-CHF avocado toasts like in Seefeld. Just… vibes. Am I becoming a true Swiss boomer or is Olten actually low-key underrated? Please tell me I’m wrong before I start looking at apartment listings there. Also, to the person who left their Coop Prix Garantie energy drink can on the bench: you’re the reason we can’t have nice things. Shame on you. submitted by /u/No-Football-2397
