I’ve been vibe coding for months now, dev background however not been coding for years. Big on implementation plans and ADRs peer reviewed and validated before a line of code gets written. With Claude however I’ve largely went on trust. Until things started to break down - largely my fault, until I brought codex to the rescue so to speak. I usually get Claude to deliver the implementation plan, get it reviewed by Codex, and that usually goes through several rounds of updates until both are happy to proceed. Same with PRs, I get a PR ready in codex, reviewed in Claude, and oftentimes Codex gets the last word. Claude most often than not delivers work that’s not complete and not ready to implement/rollout. This is Opus4.7 high vs GPT 5.5 high. Have others here seen similar instances of codex catching Claude going off the rails? submitted by /u/Jon_Has_Landed
