I am building a personal assistant with Claude, not to respond to email, or that kind of thing, but more to learn and understand everything I have going on personally and with my business, and help me prioritize, stay on track, and get stuff done. For background, I currently have a max subscription but I barely use any of my quota, so running out of tokens is the least of my concerns at this point. I read every day about how Opus 4.7 with adaptive thinking sucks. Question - I am considering using Claude Code so I can specify effort level. If I specify “max” effort, will adaptive thinking still kick in? if not I am planning on using 4.6 1M, on Max Effort and Fast mode… submitted by /u/Healthy_Gold1068
