Varlamore and Sailing introduced new seeds that are not in seed packs. Some have also been around for a long time and never added. The following are not present in seed packs (apologies if I have missed anything): Tiers as per https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Seed_pack#Rewards The goal is to engage farmers, especially irons and skillers, with new Sailing/Herblore content + better integrate this content into the wider game. I recognise that some may be too valuable or inappropriate (notably crystal acorns, huasca or rosewood). Impacts on the potential profitability of huasca seed-dropping monsters is noted. A sufficiently low rate should counter this. Current value is less than snapdragon seeds. Rosewood seeds drop so infrequently from monsters that they may need a particularly low rate to keep sources balanced. Though why krakens should have more of these than nests or seed packs is unclear to me. Value of Fremenik salvage may decrease appreciably? Dragonfruit seeds cost slightly more atm, but give less experience. Likewise for crystal acorns. This may interact too significantly with value of divine potions. It is also suggested to add these seeds to master farmers (Thieving) and seed nests, depending on whether a non-tree or tree seed respectively. Marginally more annoying for Thieving since inventory fills faster. There is also an argument that master farmers should drop tree seeds, while seed nests should contain non-tree seeds (c.f. Wyson nests). With the new Giant Mole drop, players may engage (slightly) more with this content. Integrating tree/birdhouse nests with Wyson nests into a single seed nest type is suggested, but may be too impactful on the economy. submitted by /u/Kiwoya
