The only mention at the Winter Summit at the start of the year was the “pausing” of plugin API development. This was pretty troubling, especially given a public beta was originally slated for 2026. Their summer campfire announced for Friday doesn’t mention HD whatsoever, which is a concerning ommission for a post that’s clearly designed to reassure us that development for everything is on track and all will be hunky dory. I know many will share the opinion that HD is DOA anyway without plugin support, but are Jagex quiety letting it slip out of memory to avoid having to announce a cancellation. For something that was announced with such a statement in the wake of 117 HD controversy, and many thought would come alongside Sailing as part of a big publicity reboot for the game, this anticipated feature really seems to have died in obscurity. submitted by /u/ZeldenGM
