Where would you live or move to raise a family as black man? (also consider if you have children and what their dating/marriage situation and self esteem would be) I am from the u.s. but I’ve been living in SEA for a few years now and I left alone and now I multiplied and have a family. Im certain I can instill lessons and awareness in my children alone regarding my peoples situation, but I do not want to them be strangers to their own people. Given the world is more globalized Im sure this concern is far less problematic than just 20 years ago. I am not interested in africa nor europe really, but I am open to suggestions. I take home $5,500 a month passively(healthcare is already taken care of), I can bump that up by about $2,000-2,700 a month(but I would love to only pull that play to bank as much of that as that as possible into saving or toward property). I want to buy a house but maybe not at the moment as my mother reminded me that this moment in the u.s. economy is similar to 01 in many ways, so I’ll wait. I plan on coming back to the u.s. and kicking it into high gear, but where are good places to look to make our base and home? The top two places that I have come down to are North Carolina and Maryland. Maybe generally the northeast as I am a snow child from the one of the top 10 snowiest places in the world, I am not built for the heat, my ancestors would be disappointed haha. Any advice? or if you could pick up and go amd start a new life where?(even if outside the u.s.) submitted by /u/Educational-Oil-00
