I guess I just want some clarity and to see if maybe I could put more effort in but I notice on the days I hang out with my friends we’ll usually meet up around 5pm after we get out of work and we’ll be with each other until about 1-2am. My girlfriend gets upset because I don’t really text her much while I’m out. Don’t get me wrong if she sends a message I’ll respond within reason but during that time frame I realistically only text her maybe once every 3ish hours? For example here are some exact time stamps that I text her at last week while out. Met with guys at 5.

  • Text her at 7:32
  • Respond to her text at 9:41
  • Sent her a text at 12:11
  • Got home and into bed with her at 2:32 I’ll usually send out a quick I love you or I miss you. Or if she sends me a meme I’ll respond. But it seems like she wants me to text more? Usually after 11pm she says she just wants to make sure I’m safe when I’m out later at night especially once it starts hitting like 2am and I’m out in the city. Idk when I’m with my friends I’m not usually looking at my phone but she claims that it wouldn’t hurt to reach out to her and show that I am at least thinking about her. So now I’m second guessing maybe I am being a bit stubborn? submitted by /u/TimeAd1111
