I (32F) just went through a breakup where a 1 year relationship ended because my (32M) partner admitted he hadn’t felt “the spark” for me the whole time. Our story is that we went from casual FWB to dating because we unexpectedly connected fast and hard, however. Our first date we immediately felt like we knew each other and the banter was flying with our mutual dark humor. We had sex on the first date because the physical chemistry was all there from the jump too. After 3-4 more dates we both acknowledge as incredible, we admitted it wasn’t casual and started to become official. So I admit when the spark felt so clear on my end, it’s left me confused… what would you define it as? Whatever it is, he says he feels it walking past strangers on the street. He describes it as a “wow” feeling or more synapses firing in his brain, or feeling swept off his feet. I’m just trying to wrap my brain around it all logically because how could I feel it so strongly, and how could we share what we both acknowledge is a very strong connection, with great sex the entire year consistently, and the whole time he was missing it? Or are we both overthinking this? submitted by /u/cmonfhgwgads
