I’ve been seeing bizarre positioning on arguments from Opus 4.8 where I would correct the answer it gives me, and it would do mental gymnastics trying to find a way that im wrong when it is a simple answer (ie. this script contains OR logic instead of AND logic). When I check the thinking/reasoning traces, its framing me as some kind of oppositional team it is in a competition against laying out strategies how it can “win” the argument.
