Today, I had a strange interaction outside a small village supermarket. A man told me the store was closed. I stood there for a moment because I wasn’t sure what was going on, and he immediately became aggressive and said something along the lines of, “I told you the store is closed, what are you waiting for?” I didn’t argue, didn’t say anything back, and just walked away. The thing is, the encounter really got under my skin. The guy seemed unpredictable and not entirely normal, and afterward my mind started going into worst-case scenarios: what if he remembers me, what if he remembers my car, what if I run into him again, etc. Logically, I realize this was probably just an unpleasant interaction with a rude or unstable person, but emotionally, I’ve had a hard time shaking it off. I’m curious how others would view this situation. Would you just think “that was weird” and move on, or would an encounter like this bother you as well? Please be honest. I’m interested in outside perspectives, not just reassurance. Am I being a coward? Am I overreacting, maybe? submitted by /u/aldentess
