In SEA: Kinda concerned about self driving. Here, food delivery and Grab ( Uber ) rides are kinda private social safety nets for many that might have been retrenched, cant compete in corporate. An income stream to soft land after a rough job market, but im watching the US and China going real hard on FSD which kinda concerns me if automating transportation might bust a hole in this ‘safety’. I’d joke mcdonalds might be an option, but even there im alr seeing cashier swapped out by digital stands and payments. And this could be generalized/ extrapolated (?) to physical ai applications. Idk how someone in their 50-60s might sustain themselves without welfare or tremendous savings that must last 20-30 years. Even at the upper middle income levels, recent news of layoffs are slightly alarming. Almost feels like economic gravity shoving people into the under class. Might cause the social fabric to go out of whack, idk anything to read about this would be nice or what your country’s doing about “ai readiness”. Tgif. submitted by /u/Complete_Syllabub_47
