I’ve had limited experence with 4.8 in the last day but it has struggled on a few VERY basic issues.
- It couldn’t find documentation. I asked if a planning document was implemented and it said the document didn’t exist despite a unique name. I linked the document and then it said, oh yea, sorry about that.
- It couldn’t figure out how to login to a test environment with dev credentials. I have well documented dev credentials for self-testing and it couldn’t figure out how to login. This was very eye opening.
- Code reviews (by Codex) are finding very basic mistakes. I haven’t gone through a full planning-implementation-review cycle, just quick hotfixes, but hotfixes were small enough that previous models usually could one-shot. I think Anthropic has a real problem at this point now that there are viable competitors. submitted by /u/dempsey1200
