I know it’s a provocative question, but I really wanna know the reasoning behind it. Where we live there is a shooting range in the forest and they practice weekly 2-3 times almost whole year. In this canton it is forbidden to let my dog off leash from April till August due to wild animals being born (I agree with that fully) and there are basically no dog parks. My dog has strong hunting instincts, so I would never let her run freely in the forest anyways, but got yelled on, when I let her run in the middle of nowhere (forest is kilometers away). Meanwhile they are shooting right now also for weeks and it’s so loud, like a real war. Is it ok for the wild animals? I am not trying to justify letting my dog off leash in the forest, but don’t really get the reasoning behind this, why it is ok to create a war like situation in these months. submitted by /u/Legitimate_Change756
