The reason immigration is being so aggressively stopped and even reversed in the USA has little to do with appeasing a political party. It is instead being used to increase grid stability across the USA for AI data centers to have more reliable power draw, if you eliminate millions of people from using electricity you greatly improve stability. Additionally AI is starting to automate jobs and reduce employment options for local US citizens, so by reducing the labor pool you extend the date out as far as possible for the pandemonium that will eventually hit when we run off the cliff of people being unable to gain employment because they are not needed. submitted by /u/ChoasSeed
