I’m about to do my year-long thesis to complete my masters here in Switzerland. I have a two other offers to do my thesis, one at my university, and another at a federal research institute. My thesis will be in the realm of analytical chemistry / biotechnology. For those who did any type of study at FHNW (internship, undergraduate, PhD or otherwise), I would like to know how challenging you found your research, your experience with student life and activities, and what particular benefits you felt you received from a FHNW education? For context, I intend to pursue a PhD immediately after my masters completion and I am trying to make myself as competitive as possible. I am a non-EU foreigner, did my undergraduate from a public Ivy League, and intend to enter industry after my PhD (in any country I can find a job, whether that be in Switzerland or elsewhere). I am particularly attracted to FHNW because of its industry connections. I’m looking for an intensive, focused, and challenging study, but I also want something with reputational weight and prestige for my grad school applications. student life is also important to me because I am extroverted, I love the atmosphere of ETH for this reason (studious and focused but people have fun with events.) Thanks in advance for your experiences and opinions :) submitted by /u/Glum-Cheetah-3708
