I’ll start by saying I served my time. I didn’t get spooned, I have finished CG more or less on rate across multiple accounts. I’ve done it on a main with maxed combats. I did it on an iron with no rigour, augury, or giant scroll prayers. I’m currently doing it again on a GIM with giant scroll prayers. The point here to establish why I believe my perspective is both fair and earned. Here comes the unfortunate part that is going to upset some of you: CG is one of the easier ironman gear grinds. If you can’t handle grinding out an enhanced seed, you probably can’t handle any of the following: Oathplate. Doom. Shadow. Tbow. DT2 rings. All of these are longer grinds than CG, some are mechanically harder. All of them require potions, runes, and food that you have to upkeep. Some of them aren’t rewarding at all aside from the chase items. On the other hand, CG is some of the most rewarding content in the game, especially for an ironman. You are getting tons of runes, money, and crystal shards while you work toward the range weapon that you will carry into the endgame. All for free. It costs no supplies, only 10 minutes of your time. CG is already incredible content. It is basically the best thing an ironman could ask for. Why are you all complaining? Give it a rest. As we’ve already seen with the ToA rework, making the content easier and faster ALSO comes with the tradeoff of making rares rarer and the average drop less rewarding.
