Jagex has only mentioned that they will be streamlining the preparation phase. They’ve said nothing about making the seeds more common to get. Also, some more things that need to be said: First off, some of you need to stop trying to gatekeep an entire game mode. I see some mains (who don’t even play Ironman), and some Ironmen themselves, who probably just completed CG, are trying to gatekeep the entire mode based on a singular piece of content. Not liking a singular piece of content does not mean the entire game mode isn’t for someone. Jagex knows one of the biggest pain points on an Ironman is CG and there is a huge drop off. Otherwise they would not be changing it. Not sure why people are trying to gatekeep the entire game mode based on one thing. You can’t possibly do the the later grinds if you can’t handle CG!!11 The people who say this are implying the only differences between CG and the later grinds is simply the time investment. This isn’t true. One of the biggest factors as to whether a person will go through a grind is the gameplay experience . For example, I would rather do another 1,000 COX, the raid with the rarest purples rates, instead of 50 high invo TOA. Why? Because I hate TOA and find it exhausting. Does this mean Ironman mode isn’t for me? (Already grinded a shadow and it took me 1000 COX for a tbow for reference). Ironman is meant to be a challenge!!! This is a meme that needs to stop being said. This hasn’t been true for like 10+ years. It’s no longer a niche game mode for streamers, youtubers, and NEETs. It is an official game mode supported by Jagex and a significant percentage of the player base engages in it (around 30% IIRC). And have abandoned their mains for Ironman. Not because they like gooning over the supposed challenge and feeling superior (no one cares that you got 200mil sailing on your HCIM). But the main reason I would say people engage with Ironman mode nowadays, is because it offers a completely new perspective on progression. Where you are entirely self-sufficient and don’t have to worry about bots (for the most part) or the economy, and you get to experience many types of content you would otherwise just skip. submitted by /u/Black_Pantera
