Genuinely curious about other guys’ experiences with this. I’m 20, in college, and pretty locked in on my work. I’m also a varsity athlete so it’s not like I’m some shut-in, but when it comes to dating, the career ambition thing doesn’t seem to register at all with women my age. Like I could tell a girl about something I’m building or working toward and get a blank stare, but the guy who throws house parties is automatically more interesting. I’m not complaining, just genuinely wondering when (or if) that shift happens. Is it after college? Mid 20s? When people start living in a city and actually being around ambitious people? Would love to hear from guys who were similar in college and how things changed for you later, when the dynamic actually shifts, if ever. submitted by /u/DeliciousAd399
