I’ve never cared much about social media. Even during school and college, I barely used Instagram or Snapchat and never felt like I was missing anything. Since joining the workforce, though, I’ve noticed that almost everyone around me is very active online. My colleagues regularly post stories, share updates, and document their lives. They’re often surprised when they find out I don’t have much of a social media presence. Recently, one of them told me that I’m not documenting my life and might be missing out on experiences, memories, and connections. Personally, I’ve always preferred to enjoy things in the moment rather than post about them. But it made me wonder: For men who aren’t active on social media, has it affected your social life, dating life, friendships, or career opportunities in any noticeable way? Do you ever feel like you’re missing out, or has staying offline been a positive thing overall? submitted by /u/BoomBoomBoooomer
