Aside from the harness issues discussed here
- I feel like 4.8 is a big improvement over 4.7. I’ve been using Claude since 3.5 - around a year ago. 4.6 (early) was definitely the peak of its performance. 4.7 was extremely frustrating. I had nothing but issues. It was generally lazy and made stupid mistakes because it assumed things instead of actually reading files or validating. I’ll never forget the one time if completely broke functionality because it chose not to read a single file - which was about 20 lines long in total. Peak lazy. 4.8 feels a lot more like 4.6. I can’t say if it’s just as good or just close but overall I’m pleased with it. Excluding the harness issues of course which are annoying when they happen. But that’s not the model. This is all of course just my opinion and my personal experience. It’s hard to be definitely. Yay for non determinism :) submitted by /u/Minute-Cat-823
