I’ve been using Claude Code exclusively in the terminal, inside Cursor (with official CC extension installed). It has been great but I always knew Cursor was kind of irrelevant since I don’t rely on any of its agentic features. Now i’m moving into VS Code, I’m considering using CC via the Agent side panel (again, with official CC extension installed). But I have a question: Does the terminal use less tokens than CC side bar (UI) ? Anyone who have experimented with both methods notice a big difference? Note: I searched for this topic and found some discussions where most people seem adamant that terminal spends less, and Side bar spends more. submitted by /u/voprosy
