Hello, The company I work for hired someone to build a bunch of supplementary tools for us. He used Claude Code to build the entire thing. He built us an app (website) with probably around 50 tools that’s connected to our system. He doesn’t know how any of the tools work and has had our company (99% just me) test each tool to make sure everything is working correctly. He eventually just started asking me to send him prompts to give Claude for fixes and new tools. I’ve been super busy with my other obligations at work and have not had time to test all the tools. His contract is ending and they’re planning on having me take over to finish the app and, I’d like to, build more tools. I asked him about his Claude Code setup - What skills he’s using, what agents he uses, slash commands, etc. He was pretty dismissive and said he just uses it however it came… everything, including things for other companies in one project’s folder. I’m not very experienced with Claude Code, but want some advice on how to set things up correctly before I start making changes. I’m working on a personal site that manages my email, calendar, grocery list (automates recurring items - toilet paper, trash bags, toothpaste, etc.), habits, SOME banking stuff, recurring tasks like doing laundry, notes section that turn into reminders on calendar. I’ve made a test website for my parents rental property using vercel. I started out with OpenAPI and WSL. I’ve been using Claude Code CLI for about a month. Last week I started using Claude Code in the desktop app. Not sure if I’m missing out on anything, it’s just a lot more convenient for me. There’s so many videos and reddit posts and videos and programs to use that are all the “Best 10 things” to setup claude, and they’re all recommending different things. I’m not sure what direction to go in. I plan on doing a review or ultra review as one of the first steps. Any tips? Advice? submitted by /u/Giomoney23
