A few weeks ago I came across either an X post or a Reddit thread where people were discussing the Chrome DevTools MCP for coding agents like Claude Code. One thing I remember was that some people were saying Chrome DevTools MCP can be quite token-heavy, especially when doing a lot of browser interactions and debugging. Someone in the comments suggested an open-source alternative that supposedly used fewer tokens (or maybe avoided sending as much data back to the model), but I can’t remember what it was called. I’ve been trying to find that post again without any luck. Does anyone know what tool/project they might have been referring to? If you know of any good free and open-source alternatives to Chrome DevTools MCP for Claude Code, I’d appreciate recommendations as well.
