I(m38) am single since August 2025 and don’t know how to handle the thought of staying single for longer time, I honestly didn’t have much time for dating last year as there was a lot going on in my life but loneliness started creeping in slowly and makes me feel uncomfortable. I’ve been married for 10 years, had 3 relationships after my marriage and small encounters here and there but since 2025 its been dry and I don’t know how to handle this. I do attend some meetup events and recently downloaded Tinder (oh god, I hate dating apps) but sofar nothing gas come of it. I do love being on my own as well, taking care of my son and doing my hobbies etc. its not like I’m constantly thinking about finding a partner but there are days I feel extremely lonely and that makes me uncomfortable. It kinda affects my self-estemn as well… So how do you deal with loneliness? How realistic is it to find a partner in late 30s early 40s? submitted by /u/docalibus
